Hi! My name is Shayan and I am a patient, kind, attentive and friendly tutor. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from Cal State Long Beach and a master's degree in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology; I’m very close to obtaining my doctorate.
I am an overall knowledgeable person especially in the subjects of psychology, history, philosophy, health, religious studies, mythology, political science and general writing. Furthermore, I lived in France for 6 years so I am fluent in French and I can assist you with the learning of the language as well as speaking it with correct pronunciation.
I have 4 years experience with counseling and social work and 2 years and ongoing experience with performing psychotherapy. Tutoring is something I also enjoy doing and through my knowledge, training and experience I am able to be particularly sensitive to your specific individual learning needs and emotional process. For example, if requested I can help you gain insight and work through negative emotional experiences such as anxiety that may be affecting your ability to learn a particular subject or hindering your performance on exams.
