Hello!

My name is Isaac, and although I am new to WyzAnt (so no ratings yet), I have nearly 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience. At times I have tutored subjects like physics, chemistry, computer science and even English, but the majority of my experience is in math. I can help with all courses in the elementary, middle and high school curricula, and I am especially knowledgeable about the AP Calculus AB exam and the math portion of the SAT.

Algebra 1

I have close to 10 years of experience teaching Algebra, and I'm especially good at explaining the concepts in that students really understand. It's important for Algebra students to develop good habits now because they will need those skills for the rest of their math careers -- I can show you how to do problems correctly!

Calculus

Calculus is my favorite course to teach, and my students have consistently scored extremely well on the exam: last year nearly 90% of them passed. I know the structure and content of the exam forwards and backwards, and I have a wealth of resources to help you prepare.

Precalculus

I've taught high school Precalculus five times, so I know the curriculum extremely well. Plus, since I also teach AP Calculus, I know exactly what topics to focus on in preparation for that course next year.

SAT Math

I used to work for Ivy West, so I've been thoroughly trained in the preparation of students for the SAT. Not only can I help you with the content of the exam, but I know all the little tricks to get you those precious extra points.

CBEST

I have tutored all types of multiple-choice math tests, including the SAT and AP exams, and I am also very comfortable with the topics that appear on the CBEST. Finally, I have taken and passed the CBEST myself.

How do I receive a discount?

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
