*Took a developmental psychology course that led to a deep understanding of academic issues related to ADD/ADHD

*Tutored several college students with ADD and helped resolve issues such as inability to concentrate on one task for too long. I did this by creating a varied schedule that focuses on short bursts of productivity rather than long drawn out study sessions. This increased productivity.

Elementary (K-6th)

Growing up I spent much of my after-school time tutoring elementary school children and I loved the experience. The K-6 age is when a child's brain is most receptive and I understand the extreme importance of a well-rounded, well-received education. It will be my goal to help your child achieve this.

Study Skills

In tutoring for studying skills I focus on personalizing the lesson to be tailored to the students particular problem area. Often it is as simple as scheduling which homework assignments should come first based on difficulty as well as due date. Other times it is motivational and I work to create a rewards system to reinforce positive and consistent study habits.

I have spent the last year mentoring/tutoring at UC Berkeley and am now the coordinator of the program.
