My name is Madison and I am a student at the University of California at Berkeley.
I have had a great deal of experience tutoring at many different levels. From 2011 to 2012 I worked in a NYC public school full time. There I tutored students from Kindergarten all the way to 5th grade. I have special experience in literacy (reading, writing, etc.) and Math. I possess a deep understanding of requirements necessary to pass each elementary school grade, and have worked with dozens of students, many of whom improved their reading skills by multiple levels.
I often had to use alternative teaching tools because the traditional ones that the teacher was using were not working for my students. Therefore I am especially equipped to teach young students with a variety of different strategies.
I have also tutored high school students in subjects such as Algebra, Pre-Algebra and English literature.
I am CPR trained for adults, youth, and infants, and I have experience working with children with epi-pens.
If it is not already apparent by the amount of time I have spent with kids, I love working with children; it always brightens my day! In addition to being with kids, I love reading, writing, acting and singing.
