Hello!
My name is Conrad. I am currently twenty years old and attending UC Berkeley as a sophomore. After some time figuring out my direction, I plan to double major in Physics and BioEngineering.
My wanders through the curriculum at Berkley reflects my intellect and my curiosity. I only settled on my two majors when I found two subjects I wanted to pursue. I didn't settle on the first majors I thought of or in which I had skill. I took time to explore Math, Business, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Economics before deciding.
I have always loved teaching things, even from an early age. A student or friend of mine understanding the interesting idea I'm trying to convey is one of the best feelings for me. My first memory of this come from fifth grade when I taught my friend what 'x', in math, meant. He was happy. I was happy!
I'd like to think I only grew from that. I've tutored multiple individual people in the 'real world' since then (i.e. not using this newfangled wyzant service!), and at points in my life, an entire class. I was the only teaching assistant for two entire courses at my high school (Calculus and Chemistry)
And if you're interested in the SAT, I feel I have a keen grasp on that as well. I moved to this country from Australia with my entire family at a young age, and these college entrance exams simply do no exist over there. I had to teach myself everything about the test, and then the test itself, and went into applying for college with a 2300. If I can go from absolutely nothing to a respectable score, anyone can.
I look forward to working with you!
Cheers,
Conrad
