My name is Martin, I am a bilingual educator. I have been teaching and tutoring ESL and Spanish for more than 15 years since I started working in Central America.
I became Spanish tutor after earning an Associate's degree in Spanish Education from the San Vicente Technical Institute in 1985, and I have worked as bilingual tutor for elementary, middle and high schools.
In 1993, I got a Bachelor's degree in ESL Education from the University of El Salvador. So,I have been working as a Spanish-ESL tutor/ instructor.
Since 2005, I have been working as bilingual tutor (independent contractor) for the Cesar Chavez Education Institute at various sites: Terrace Elementary School, Almond Tree Middle School, and Cecil M. School in Delano, California. In addition, I have been working for the Farm workers Institute for Education and Leadership Development (FIELD)associated with Taft College, Monterey College, and Butte College as ESL instructor in Bakersfield, Wasco, Shafter, Gridle, CA.
I apply a variety of educational strategies, teaching techniques and appropriate materials including technology to the learning process, in order to enhance the student's second language skills.
