I have been playing drums since 1963. Trained in the traditional rudimental style I played for marching bands, as well as orchestras. I can teach reading for use in field drumming as well as orchestral scores and drum set playing. It is very important to learn reading, and musical structure as well as good technique. I also place emphasis on improvisation as a creativity exercise. I organized a fife and drum band for a local church, the drum line was awarded 1st place in our cities yearly parade for 5 consecutive years.
Digital Photography for the beginner can be challenging and fun. Learn with me as we discover the principles of lighting, focusing, composition, exposure, and editing. I have been a photography hobbyist for many years and would love to share what I have learned. I have recently achieved my AAS degree in video production where the use of DSLR cameras was an integral part of the program.
The challenge is: do you want to look like You Tube, or do you want to stand out. It is about the story, and making it smooth and professional. I make video programming for You Tube and public access TV. I will show you how. I can teach you how use your camcorder, DSLR camera or video camera for best exposure and composition. I will teach basic editing in imovie or final cut pro. You will learn scripting, story boarding, and finally shooting and editing your project for sharing. And you may explore some fun special effects. After years as a hobbyist, I have recently graduated from ESGV ROP T/C with scholastic honors and an AAS degree in video production.
