My goal is to help my students feel comfortable with reading, writing, and speaking English and have fun with it at the same time. Sharing tips and techniques about how to study ESL more effectively helps my students to approach their English assignment with less fear and hesitation. Being a foreigner who knows what it is like to experience difficulties with foreign language, I will do my best to help you feel that learning English can be a rewarding experience.
I have an extensive experience working as an ESL and English tutor in Pasadena City College since 2012 until the present. Also, I am proud of being an International Student Orientation Tutor in PCC for two straight seasons. In the past I worked as an After School Program Tutor for D'Veal Non-Profit Foundation for underprivileged children. My experience includes working as Private Russian Tutor with students who were scheduled to travel to Russia or Ukraine.
As for my education, I hold an Associate Degree in English Language from Chkalov School of Foreign Languages from Ukraine. Two years ago I completed a Professional Tutor Certification from National Tutoring Association in Pasadena City College. After successfully completing national certification, I have received a certificate of a Master Tutor in ESL from Pasadena City College. I am currently working towards a major in Nutritional science with a minor in English language.
