Graduate courses taken in relation to the tutor position includes: Courses in "Environmental Issues & Approaches" & "Environmental Evaluation & Protection" explores the history of environmental thought, the principles of ecology (Evolutionary & Behavioral Ecology, Population Ecology, Community Ecology, Ecosystems Ecology & Applied Ecology), and focusing on a wide variety of environmental problems, including overpopulation, food & water security, extinction of biodiversity, deforestation, unsustainable exploitation of marine & freshwater ecosystems, over reliance on fossil fuels, accumulation of waste, pollution, and global climate change. Understanding of a general overview of environmental problems and their impacts human and environmental health.

I have more than 8 years experience using IBM's SPSS statistical program (from version 12 to current version 21) including extensions in SPSS AMOS and SPSS Modeler.
I have cleaned raw data from my clientele and have properly named, assigned codes for missing values and coded each variables for grouping factors, and planned contrasts.
My approach to data analysis, typically begins with a diagnostic test for normality, homogeneity of variance test, examining for kurtosis & skewness, assumption of sphericity (repeated measures), and examining graphs, boxplots, scatterplots for any outliers.
Once the diagnostic test is done, the statistical method will be determined from the diagnostic test whether a parametric or non-parametric design will be employed for comprehensive data analysis. And the analysis is not limited to descriptives, graphs/charts, chi-square test, t-test (dependent, independent), ANOVA/ANCOVA/MANOVA, correlations (bivariate/multivariate), regressions (linear, multivariate, logistics), time-series analysis, forecasting, exploratory/confirmatory factor analysis, principal component/discriminant factor analysis, time-series analysis, forecasting, and structural equation modeling using SPSS AMOS.
I have taken college courses in statistics, both in undergraduate business statistics (USC) and graduate level scientific research methods (CSUF).
I'm well versed in the subject of statistics whether its probabilities, descriptives, graphing tools, hypothesis testing, parametric & non-parametric tests, correlations (binary/multivariate), regressions (linear, multivariate, and logistic), ANOVA/ANCOVA/MANOVA, time-series, forecasting, exploratory/confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling (AMOS).
And I have applied survey designs, data management, statistical modeling and data analysis during a one-year research project as the project leader at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine CA, the results of which were presented to city councils, park managers, board members of the park. The findings were included in the grant writing projects of the city park.
