I have more than 5 years of teaching experience to students from K - 12th grade. While pursuing a major in Vocal Techniques and Music Theater at the Pasadena City College, I worked as an after school teacher at the Academic Education Center. My main responsibilities included, but were not limited to, teaching Reading, Grammar, and Writing to k - 12 grades, including SAT Critical Reading and Writing prep. Last but not least, I also taught Music (Vocal Arts) during their summer program.
Prior to working at the Academic Education Center, I have also taught voice techniques to teenagers. Working in a diverse city with different ethnic backgrounds gave me an opportunity to express my talent and perform in several non-profit organization shows and charity events.
In addition to working in China, I have been recently promoted as the Children's Ministry director at the Vineyard Foothill Church in San Dimas after volunteering as a 1st - 3rd grade Sunday school teacher for a year.
Presently, I am a sub for ACI Institute of Diamond Bar. I teach writing and reading enrichment to elementary to high school students.
I am very "hands on" with lessons, making sure we're not just listening but actually learning.
