In my opinion the only way to be a good teacher is to be captivating and enthusiastic about your teachings. But for students to learn properly, a teacher must be a well-rounded and be able to adjust to the needs of every particular student. In my past experience, I have taught courses in engineering, science and other advance subjects. I have been recognized as an honorary speaker at other universities for recent graduates, and people working in engineering field. I've also been the Director of the Peruvian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, USA. Everyone I have taught has succeeded and has learned the subject very well. I have always cultivated in my students to speak, write and pronounce Spanish correctly. I am a regular reader and consult publications of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language.
I would prefer to teach children over the age of twelve simply because a language is best learned at that stage of development which is back up by the Piaget’s Theory of Cognitive Development. When a child reaches that stage, they would appreciate the language more if they have some background of the history, economy, culture and customs of different Spanish speaking countries. I have also enjoyed working with teens and adults or even CEOs looking to expand their knowledge.
My forte is business related communication is Spanish. I have been an investment consultant, among other occupations in my long career. So to teach companies owners, other executives and CEOs who want to do business with Latin America and Spain in Europe would be essential and beneficial for them.
I have the experience, patience, the knowledge and capacity to teach anyone willing to learn the language at a very fast rate. I am always updated on the latest techniques and methods and I believe I have a lot to offer to the potential student. Contact me if interested.
