I am a caring and patient tutor with a B.S. degree in biology and a master's degree in business administration. I have also taken and passed the C.B.E.S.T. (California Basic Educational Skills Test) which is a standardized test designed to provide information about basic proficiency in math, reading in writing.
The majority of my tutoring experience comes from helping my daughter throughout the years with her homework, as well as helping my many nieces and nephews with their elementary, middle and high school coursework. I have also tutored many of my fellow students while obtaining my undergraduate degree at Cal Poly University.
My tutoring style is helping students to focus and identify the material that the instructor wants them to learn - understanding concepts is an integral part of their success. A key part of the process is developing study skills/techniques to guarantee success and to help remove anxiety.
I have a strong work ethic and a strong desire to succeed. I am patient and caring, but I expect that my students put forth their best effort to understand the material. Allow me to help your student to attain success.
