I offer top quality Violin/Viola/Piano lessons with the first lesson FREE (North Alhambra/San Marino/South Pasadena). I am a music teacher with more than 20 years of proven success, seeking to fill new openings in my personal studio. Currently, I am accepting students for violin, viola, piano, music theory and ear training.

Under my guidance, students have experienced amazing success. In my 20 years as a music teacher, I have had many of my students win principal chair positions in local youth orchestras such as The American Youth Symphony Orchestra, YMF Debut Orchestra, Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra, and Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra, among others. All of my students have scored 5 on AP music theory exams and/or have placed above the second year of undergraduate music theory classes at the university level. I have also seen many of my students go on to win full scholarships to Julliard, USC, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Harvard/NEC, and other prestigious university music programs.

Of course, I have achieved some degree of success myself. My education and training includes University of Southern California, under Donald McInnes, New England Conservatory, with Burton Fine, and with Samuel Rhodes of the Julliard String Quartet. I have performed in concert tours in more than 20 countries, including as soloist at the Aspen Music Festival, the Tanglewood Music Center, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. I proudly claimed first prize awards at the 2000 Bach International Music Competition and the CBC Radio National Competition, as well as the Hong Kong Commercial Radio Prize.

In addition to this, I am founder of the Socks for Music project, which allows low-income children gain access to music lessons and benefits the medical community. Parents can bring two dozen pairs of socks in exchange for a free lesson. Those socks are donated to homeless shelters for homeless patients.

I am certain that with my coaching and guidance, all my students can achieve significant improvements, getting the most out of their potential as musicians.

The studio is located in North Alhambra, adjacent to San Marino and South Pasadena.
The cross street is Huntington Drive. Please note that the first lesson is free, as it serves as an audition.
