Hello! I am an experienced ESL teacher with expertise in the development and delivery of language programs to a wide variety of clients encompassing diverse backgrounds: beginners to advanced, from students of all ages to working adults and business professionals.

My qualifications include a Masters of Arts in English with a concentration in teaching English to speakers of other languages and seven years of teaching in the U.S. and overseas.

My professional TEFL experience includes one and half years as an English teacher in Jakarta, Indonesia and two years teaching at Kuwait University. In both contexts I specialized in advanced academic English and English for Specific Purposes and also facilitated courses for Business English, TOEFL and basic English for all proficiency levels and ages.

As a private tutor, I have experience in developing unique curriculum and materials for individuals based on individualized interviews and needs assessment surveys. I strive to provide each learner with the necessary tools and support required to meet his or her goals. I make every effort to take into consideration not only a learner's proficiency level and learning style, but also language and cultural background.

With my skills, international experience and love for language education, as well as my easy-going nature and gift for developing rapport with my students, I look forward to assisting you with meeting your goals.

I have a master's degree in English with a concentration in teaching English to speakers of other languages and seven years teaching experience.

Grammar

I have an M.A. in English with a concentration in teaching English to speakers of other languages and extensive experience teaching English grammar.

Proofreading

I was trained in using the Process Approach to writing in which students learn to begin writing with a focus on content and fluency. Students are then guided to read their own writing and revise it to improve the clarity of their point and purpose. The final step would be to read one's writing again and revise it a final time with a focus on form and structure.

Public Speaking

At the American Language Institute, an intensive teacher training program at San Francisco State University, I taught Oral Communication skills courses, which included a public speaking component.

Reading

I have extensive experience teaching reading skills.

I have experience teaching vocabulary from basic level to advanced academic.
