My passion for education runs deep; I have ten years of teaching under me, three at the high school level and seven at the elementary. My methods are a little different but your child will learn and understand how to pass tests such as the AIMS and Stafford 9. Students need to have the confidence when they sit down to take any tests, with the understanding that they will be able to tackle what is placed in front of them.

I can travel or you can come to me, students will be give tests and ways to handle a test to help them prevent test anxiety. No more waking up in the morning of a test and not wanting to go to school; your child will be ready for the test.

Elementary education is my primary focus, along with the reading and writing; when I taught at this level my classes had an above average exceeding on their Aims tests. If you want your child to do well on these and other tests then give me a call and let's make the succeed.

Every year we were competitive, even on the years we had a majority of new players; this was because I taught them the importance of team work and working together along with fair play.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taught 2nd through 6th grade for seven years. All of my classes in which I have taught have met or exceeded the AIMS tests. I am very complete in what I teach, to insure you get the most out of what is being taught, which include learning study skills.

I taught seven years in elementary, so I used Phonics on a regular basic. When I taught 2nd grade we were heavy into phonics and my students exceeded the Aims test because of their knowledge of phonics. I am very patient with my students in this area, because if they don’t have an understanding of pronunciation of words then they will struggle later on in life.

I enjoy writing, and write all of the time. It is my hobby, and I am currently working o a couple of books as well.

Public Speaking

I have 22 years of military experience, in which I had to learn how to speak in front of the brass. Plus my background in education; whereas I had to be able to speak to students, and their parents for classes and also during banquets and such.

I have coached youth and adult softball between 4 to 8 years, insuring they understood the rule and concepts behind the game. I also taught fair play, and also instructed each position on the field. I feel this is a way to instill team work among young players and that is what was taught.

I use several different types of tests, both reading and spelling; this will help you jump forward and become prepared for the AIMS test and any other type of tests you may encounter.

Study Skills

When I taught at the elementary school level, this was one area I focused on. It helped to reduce test anxiety and calm students down when they were preparing for a big test such as the AIMS test.
