I have over 3 years of teaching experience in college English. I am proficient with all Adobe and Microsoft programs. I have also published my art. I have published several critical and creative books. My critical book, "Rebellion as Genre" is coming out with McFarland in April 2013. I have taken the GRE, LSAT, SAT and several other tests, and can help you prepare. I have also worked in various other fields like finance, and can help you with preparing for an administrative career. I have a longer version of my resume that I can send to you upon your request. I will be teaching 3 courses for Pima College in Tucson, AZ (TuTh and Fri - 9 hrs/ week) this spring and hope to find some additional work in the Tucson area to supplement my income. I will be available for more hours in the summer. I have also done freelance newspaper writing, and a long list of other jobs, including government service, so please ask if you are not sure if I'm qualified to help you. I prefer working with students that are self-motivated and want to excel - I prefer students that are mature for their age, or are over 14. I would also prefer helping somebody achieve greatness, rather than working with somebody who is struggling to pass, as I'm pretty strict and don't sympathize with a lack of effort. I enjoy coming up with creative methods for relaying information or just explaining the content step-by-step until the student understands it fully. I'm happy to work with you using the approach that you think will be most likely to help you succeed.
