I have been teaching and tutoring since 1994 for various periods of time. I prefer tutoring because I realize that most students need more individualized attention than they can get in a classroom arena. I have been successful because I can relate each student's life experiences to the material we are covering. By analyzing what the student already knows, I can bring familiar examples to the session, no matter what the subject. Students usually know more than they think they do, and it is my job to show them that they CAN grasp the concepts we are studying. I welcome a background check, and currently hold an AZ Dept of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card.

I have taught and/or tutored for Pima Community College Neighborhood Centers, various high schools and middle schools in the Tucson area, and have tutored Pima CC and U of Phoenix students in subjects up to College Algebra. References can be provided in the subject area you are requesting.

I have tutored K-6th for the past 3 years. Most of my work has been with 1st graders who haven't grasped reading. There are many reasons why they just 'aren't getting it' and I can help to determine where their problems lie and what we need to do to fix them. How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
