My name is Monica and I am someone who is personable, caring, well organized, and I possess a genuine affinity for the nurturing of children and teaching of students. In addition to meeting the qualifications required to tutor I also demonstrate patience, joy, and empathy to each child I have the privilege to instruct and care for. In college I earned two Associate of Art degrees (Music and Humanities) which included 15 units in Early Childhood Education. Currently I am enrolled at Western Governors University pursing Special Education Teacher Licensure. I possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card and am CPR and First Aid certified.
My experience with children includes current employment as a Special Education Aide at a local charter school working one on one with an autistic child as a math tutor. I also stay active in the first grade class by assisting the lead teacher in teaching students and grading their work. On occasion I am also asked to assist children who are remedial in reading and serve as a substitute teacher.
In recent years I had the awesome experience of being an English teacher overseas. I led children ages 2-14 as in the instruction of conversational and written English. My creativity, patience, attentive listening, and passion to encourage others, despite the limited language comprehension, provided opportunities for my students to not only learn but to have fun while building their vocabulary and understanding of western culture.
Should you grant me the responsibility of this important role, I have the intent to give all I can of myself and my talents to encourage and assist your child according to the learning styles that work best for him or her. I am someone who is not just looking for just a job, but to fulfill a purpose. Thank you for reviewing my profile.
