I am a teacher, mentor and coach who is passionate about the students and families that I serve in the community. I have considerable experience working within the classroom and the special education spectrum. I have acted as a community leader through roles such as a supervisor, program coordinator, mentor, life coach and teacher. I believe that I have the dedication and skills that are necessary to promote and prepare every student for success through their education, career and life. I identify myself as being a candidate who possesses the ability to lead, take initiative, and more importantly support students and families.

I have a BA in Social and Behavioral Science and have worked with a diverse population of students, mostly focusing on those student who have been labeled as living within "at-risk" communities. I have considerable experience not only teaching academic content, but life skills and career ready skills as well. I also hold a M.Ed in special education and have been a teacher in both elementary and high school setting. I am a former corps member through the nationally recognized Teach for America program. My experiences have encouraged me to continue to reach out to my community and build personal experiences with families and students in need. I look forward to boosting student esteem through achievement and meeting their personal goals.

I look forward hearing from you!
