I am studying to become a certified English teacher in Arizona. I already have a Bachelor's degree in English. I love writing and am eagerly searching for opportunities, which will improve my teaching skills. I have taught composition to students ranging from grades K-7 at Masjid Omar. I also worked as a writing tutor in ASU's University Summer Bridge Program and Writing Center. These positions have helped me understand the elements of a successful tutoring session, as well as develop my skill to adjust my teaching style to meet my tutee's learning style.
It's always great to see my students succeed, so I do my best to guide the students in the writing process. Writing is an art that requires practice and patience. It's important to encourage and challenge the tutee in the tutoring session to allow growth for the tutee's writing.
