I am a certified teacher with over 10 years of experience in the classroom. I am fun, loving and authentic. I have been helping students make great gains in their learning in the classroom and working with students in a tutoring setting. In reading I have the expertise and knowledge in how to target specific skills to help a reader become more fluent. Fluency is not something that just happens by reading, certain skills must be built. Math is another area I have been successful in helping students grow. Recently I tutored a 7th grade student in math who quickly moved from a grade D to a grade B, only weeks after I began working with him. He was equally successful in passing the end of the year exams as well as AIMS. In math students need the proper foundation so they can they progress into a higher level of math and more complex problems. Parents from past students loved me so much and their children were so comfortable with me that I was hired by several families to be a homework support due to their busy schedules.
