I am a graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia. I have tutored since my sophomore year of undergraduate in the mathematics, specifically calculus 1, 2, & 3, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. In addition, I have tutored organic chemistry, general chemistry, and quantitative chemistry for several years. Chemistry and math are two areas of focus I have had in both my undergraduate and graduate studies. As these two are my areas of expertise in the hard sciences, I also completed a degree in History as an undergraduate which allows me to assist in essay writing, research methods, and overall analysis of intellectual arguments. I also provide assistance in biochemistry as I have been a Teaching Assistant for multiple high level biochemistry courses and excelled in my studies in the subject.
My first experience in tutoring was providing assistance to my chemistry peers and eventually branched out to help in other fields. I thoroughly enjoy helping someone to understand a difficult subject, and seeing them succeed only emphasizes the importance of my job. A previous teacher of mine put it succinctly: my love to teach is only exceeded by my desire to see students succeed in school. Allow me to help you both learn and acquire the same love I have for these subjects and I promise school will become a much more rewarding experience.
