Ronn has been my son's math tutor for 2 1/2 years and has helped transform him from hating math and failing every exam to being a very confident leader in the classroom and getting A's on every test.
Ronn has tutored my son in Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II/Trigonometry and was a great complement to his teachers, showing him other ways of doing things, easier ways which ultimately gave my son a deeper understanding of each subject and resulted in higher grades on tests and overall class grades.
Ronn’s extensive math knowledge and understanding of the school curriculum makes him an excellent math tutor. We will absolutely use Ronn again in the future and I highly recommend him to anyone requiring a patient, knowledgeable and fun math tutor.
My son has been receiving tutoring from Ronn Y. for about 7 months. From the beginning, Ronn makes the tutoring experience a positive one. He makes him feel successful and provides ample assistance with his math work. We look forward to our Wednesday night sessions every we and I can't see my son being as successful as he has been this year in math without Ronn!
Ronn is a great tutor. My grandson looks forward to the tutoring sessions, and his grade has improved by 16% in four weeks. He is much more confident.
After years of frustration and second guessing himself, my son finally is starting to feel confident and comfortable. Ronn is so patient and having that one-to-one opportunity from someone who has become a learned friend in a safe environment gives me such relief. I can't recommend Ronn enough. I can't wait to see how our AIMS scores are this year!
My daughter seemed to be lost in Pre-Calc and Trig. She needed to get a 3.0 or higher in order to still be accepted to ASU. She said "I wish he were my teacher at school. He makes it so much easier to understand." Would highly recommend Ronn.
Ronn was a great tutor. Always there to help. He was patient and made sure my daughter knew what she was doing and didnt move onto the next problem until he was sure. My daughter went from an F in math to an A with Ronn's help. I will surely call him again if she needs help in the future!
Ronn is very knowledgeable and has a great understanding of the subjects he tutors. He is very patient and kind! Our son's SAT math scores have had a significant improvement. He has helped us tremendously, by keeping our son up to date and current on his class work and assignments. We are very pleased with Ronn's service. We will continue to use him in the future, and would highly recommend him to others in need of a great tutor.
Moving to AZ almost 6 weeks into the school year my daughter was completely lost in Geometry. She had struggled in Algebra at her previous school but somehow managed to pass. Her previous experience with tutoring had been staying after school with the teacher, who one day told her he didn't understand why she didn't understand which was completely defeating for her.
She was very skeptical about going to Ronn but agreed to it after failing 2 tests. Ronn has been the difference for her. He figures out how to teach her so she understands. He can tell when she's not getting it but has not yet said she's "lost". He has the ability to not only show her how to do the problem but to teach her how to do the problem.
My daughter has said Ronn doesn't make her feel "dumb" which has always been her reasoning for not understanding math. I've always told her that we need to find someone that not only knows how to do math but knows how to show HER how to do math. Ronn has been that person for her.
Ronn has been a good help to my son, he's really taking the time to make sure my son understands the materials. He is highly recommended.
I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to Ronn for his assistance in getting me prepared for the GED Algebra exam. I am a middle aged man who has been out of high school over 20 years, leaving my freshman year, which left me in a tough position to pass anything related to Algebra, much less the Math GED exam. My employer eventually learned I was without my GED, and insisted that I take the exam. I made tireless effort to learn Algebra myself only to fall short of comprehending this foreign language called Algebra. I found Ronn through Wyzant, and can honestly say Ronn is truly gifted mentor whose passion of Math is clear from the very first lesson. Ronn was able to explain Algebra in a way I understood, and apply to the GED math exam which I passed thanks to Ronn. If Ronn can teach someone like me who has not seen an Algebra problem in 20 years to pass the GED math exam, Ronn can teach anyone the art of math. Truly a gifted teacher.
Ronn is the very best when it comes to math tutoring. His expertise and knowledge of the material is quite evident. Ronn relates so easily to his students. My high schooler who had failed algebra 1A twice stated that he enjoys working with Ronn because he makes math easy to understand, and fun. He never complains when he goes to tutoring with Ronn and I have seen a definite improvement in his grades and his confidence level. I would highly recommend Ronn to anyone who is seeking out a math tutor for their child.
As of this past week my son scored a 96% on a test he did not study for because he had been ill. After the test, he said that it was easy, all stuff he had covered with Ronn, and he got it. Thanks again Ronn for your hard work. My son is so confident and positive now.
Ronn has been a great help to us. He is patient and friendly. He knows math very well. He is always there on time ready to work. My daughter would not be doing as well as she is in math without his help. Thank you.
Ronn has helped my son greatly in Geometry. He is extremely patient and provides step-by-step instruction that makes the material easier to understand. My son has said to me on numerous occasions that he wishes Ronn were his classroom instructor and so do I! I guarantee you and your child will be glad you chose Ronn to further your child's education.
I was experiencing anxiety and struggling with a lack of confidence in my ability to learn new math. Within just a few sessions I was clearly experiencing success. I have become a motivated student. I wholeheartedly recommend Ronn to any student who is looking for a competent, enthusiastic, compassionate and creative tutor for their learning needs.
Ronn is very dependable, polite and well organized. He was very knowledgeable and patient in helping my son pass his geometry class needed for graduation. If anyone I know ever needs a tutor, he will be the first person I recommend. His rates were also very reasonable.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
