My name is Jessica and I have spent the past seven years teaching Spanish and psychology to high school students both in the traditional classroom and online. I gained my knowledge and proficiency in the Spanish language by completing multiple study abroad opportunities in Spain, the first when I was just 16. Upon graduating from Indiana University in 2005, I also had the opportunity to teach English as a Second Language at a private Catholic high school in Spain, which proved to be one of the most valuable experiences of my life. Since leaving Spain, I have taught for one year in Indiana at a junior/senior high school, and served as the Instructional Leader at Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona for the past four years. I currently work at Paradise Honors High School in Surprise, AZ as a teacher and TAP Coach. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work extensively with students from all walks of life, rather they be native or heritage Spanish speakers, or students learning Spanish as a second language. I have also worked with Sylvan as a math and English tutor, and I have also assisted students in test prep, such as preparing for the SAT or ACT. I currently hold two undergraduate degrees, a B.S. in Secondary Spanish Education and a B.A. in Psychology. I recently completed by M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instructional Design from Western Governors University last year.
