My parents were school teachers and during my early years I was heavily politicized with the ideals and values of education. In part as a result, I have a total of six Ivy League degrees from Harvard and Columbia in the general areas of: education, economics, finance and law.
I have practiced for approximately twenty years as a member of two of the major Wall Street players in the area of international commercial and business transactions. During that time I resided outside of the U.S. and operated as the local managing attorney for foreign offices (Sao Pulo, Mexico City, Seoul and Hong Kong)of those firms.
I have taught at the university, graduate business school and law school levels of significant foreign universities, and also at the University of Southern California, Golden Gate University and the University of California (Berkeley). Most of that teaching has been in the areas of international law and finance.
I have also taught at the high school level, at Newcomer High School in San Francisco, which is the reception school for newly-immigrated high school students who require English language support.
