Since I have tutored everything from fundamental mathematics up through calculus, I understand algebra 1 as an important stepping stone to either additional mathematical studies as well as other areas of applications such as physics, chemistry, etc.
Additionally, I have a bachelor of electrical engineering from Marquette University with a minor in mathematics and physics. I feel that mathematics is a fundamental discipline that could be required for not only your future education but any career endeavor you may pursue.
I have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a mathematics minor from Marquette University. I have tutored math up to calculus, and physics, etc. for five years at Paradise Valley Community College. At the time I had received Level I and level II tutoring certificates required by the Maricopa community college system.
I also tutored for CLUB Z, a private tutoring service in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
I was also a substitute teacher in the Paradise Valley unified school system And the Scottsdale unified school system.
I have tutored geometry at Paradise Valley Community College as well as one-on-one in-home services through another private tutoring company here in the Valley. I have also practiced the use of geometric principles in some of my engineering work during my career as an electrical engineer.
I am qualified to tutor Outlook because I have used Outlook for at least 10 years both in the corporate and in the residential environment. In addition to the simplicity of reading and sending emails, the strength of Outlook lies in its additional features such as logging and maintaining a contact database, a calendar and scheduling database, and a task database to manage your daily activities. It is also important to know how to set up the parameters associated with your specific Internet service provider.
I have tutored 4 years for the Learning Support Center Of Paradise Valley Community College where I have received level I and level II tutoring certificates.
In my career as a technical project manager, I used Microsoft Project for most of my projects and required my staff do the same. We became experts in the use of PERT Charting and Ghantt Charts to set up the project for project control, budgeting, and economic analysis. Then during the lifecycle of the project, we used Microsoft Project to manage and control, track progress, track budget, report to upper management, perform re-planning, And general control of the project. We also prepared higher level charts for communication to upper management allowing them to track the progress of several projects simultaneously
Currently teaching three levels of digital camera at Paradise Valley community college including "shooting in raw". As owner operator of my private company, I currently in photographing family portraits and individual portraits and family events. This includes shooting portraits for several business websites. I have been doing individual, family, and event photography for over 30 years. My experience also includes Photoshop, as I teach a basic and advanced class in Photoshop Elements at community colleges, libraries, and community centers.
Pre-calc is one of my strong points as I was a physics major for a while where, algebra II, calc, trig are very important pre-requisites.
