Hi, my name is Miss Kelly.
I can help Students in English (reading, writing/grammar, vocabulary, spelling, essay formats, work citations), basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel), elementary math (grade school multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, etc.), Elementary Science (general science studies, some high school science, etc.). As well as many other basic skills and GED training.
I am only available for tutoring Mon., Wed., and Fri. noon-seven.
I have tutored fellow students before, as well as relatives. As a Library TA throughout my school career, I was in charge of, not only helping the librarian, but aiding students in homework and study related problems. I have also helped to tutor my younger cousins during the summer in preparation for the coming semester.
My approach to tutoring is dependent upon each student's needs. For example, in GED preparation, I can work within specific areas that need improvement and offer problems or questions that will help hone the skills of the individual. The same goes for any other subject, if the student needs help in specific areas, that can be enhanced by use of sample or practice questions.
If it is homework or test taking skills that need improvement, I can easily work with the student to guide them toward the answer, allowing them to use the skills and knowledge they already bare.
