I am qualified to tutor in the subject area of business because I have a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctorate Degree in Business Education (Ed.D), which gives me life-time credentials to teach all business courses in the College of Business at the University level and at the Community College level. While pursing my degrees I taught several sections of Strategic Management and Business Policy, which is the capstone interdisciplinary, undergraduate course at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.
I taught DOS (Disk Operating System) at McHenry Community College in the 1990s. When the Windows Operating System was introduced, the demand for knowing DOS commands dwindled and I started teaching Windows classes with its graphical user interface.
I have a doctorate degree in Business Education. I taught Marketing in my Strategic Management and Business Policy courses at Northern Illinois University in the late 1990s, while pursuing my degree. Marketing is one of the core business courses taught in business education curriculum and in Arizona I have life-time credentials to teach business courses.
I am qualified to tutor Microsoft Access because I have a Doctorate Degree in Business Education (Ed.D), with one of my research cognates in Database Management Systems using Structured Query Language (SQL). Another qualification to tutor Access is my undergraduate degree, which is in Applied Computer Science and prior work experience (1990s) teaching Professional Development seminars using Access and integrating Access data to other Microsoft Office products to staff at McHenry Community College in Crystal Lake, IL. Additionally, I have taught DBMs techniques using Access to clients of my business - Ehrhard Consultants, Inc., and very basic techniques in my Computer Literacy courses and past Community Development seminars at McHenry Community College.
I am qualified to teach/tutor Microsoft Outlook because I have been teaching my clients at my consulting firm how to use this email program for the past 10 years. While Outlook is mainly used for email, I also teach users how to use the calendar, address book (contacts), and note taking features. Years ago, when I taught my Computer Literacy students at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL - I also taught them how to use Outlook versions 97, 98, 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2007.
I am qualified to tutor/teach Microsoft Publisher because I have been teaching my clients how to use this entry-level desktop publishing application for the past 10 years. I personally use this program on a daily basis to create teaching handouts. I have helped my clients create marketing materials, Directories (with mail merges), and catalogs focusing on page layout and design. I'm also qualified to tutor because years ago, I taught students how to use Publisher, versions: 95, 97, 98, 2000, and 2002) in my Computer Literacy courses at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL.
