Hello, I'm Daniel and I am interested in bettering your educational experience in the Life Sciences, Math, and Chemistry. If you or your child is struggling with science/math courses or, perhaps, is preparing for a standardized test that requires application knowledge in these areas then I may be the guy for you! I am also interested in tutoring individuals who are working towards acceptance into a professional school that might have been out of school for a while.
I have experience in private tutoring to middle school through college level students in the sciences and have helped many achieve goals that seemed unattainable. I have done this by establishing what areas of the subject are most troubling to students and focusing on them by using a variety of different sources. I have many textbooks and class notes, manuals, etc. that the students can use to have multiple viewpoints on the same subject.
I also believe that a person learns best when they are able to recap and teach the subject to another individual. Therefore, I provide not only the details in a subject, but also a bigger picture motif that enables the student to make real-life connections with what they are learning.
As someone who recently graduated Arizona State University with a B.S. in Microbiology, I understand the hardships that many students must face in large classroom learning environments and so I can relate to younger or more mature adult students. I have much experience in working in a lab setting where application and science work in tandem so I realize the necessity in flexibility and the importance in explaining the exceptions to the rules that we learn in science.
My studies have led me to pursue a career in dentistry and I will be beginning dental school at UCLA in the Fall so I am also an ideal candidate for more specialized test prep. such as for the DAT, OAT, PCAT, and MCAT. I am also available for ACT test prep. and I am open to new endeavors and experiences!
Give me a try and I will help you set an achieve your goals in no time! Happy studying!
