Hello, my name is Phaedra (pronounced Fay-Dra), and I am excited to help you out! Often, people tell me they wish I was their teacher. I take time to explain, I have the patience to help people understand the problem, and I love helping and teaching.

I am a photographer and have taken many art classes. I have a Bachelor of Science in Geography - what that means is, I know a lot about the physical aspects of geography that deal in science. I can help you understand how our earth changes and why.

I am also certified in GIS. What does this mean for you? I can help you with the computer portion of geography, and I have taken several math classes.

As a kid, I always had trouble with math. I kept working at it until I understood it. I know that might look like a bad thing, but it's not! What it means is I know how to explain it so that it makes sense - to YOU. Most people who hate math don't understand it. That's why I can help.

I enjoy English, and understand the rules. I can help with spelling, grammar, and basic writing.

I have 3 teenagers, all of whom I have helped through math. Two of them struggle a bit, as I did in school.

I know what it is like to struggle and not understand the material. I think difficulty in mathematics comes from not comprehending the concept behind the math.

This is where I come in, and why I am a great tutor: I can take the time and have the patience to explain it.

I am a photographer, working on my digital arts certification at MCC. I have taken several classes and workshops, and have been taking photos for about 15 years. I also belong to several photography groups/clubs.
