Hello! My name is Danielle, and I am 29 years old. I live in San Tan Valley, AZ. My fiancé and I have a one year old daughter, Brynn. She is the light of our lives and brings absolute joy to us each and every day! I love children and being a Mommy! I do have a full-time job (aside from being a mom), working at a disease management/health coach company in Chandler called Healthways. My work hours are 10:30a-7p, so I would be available to tutor in the early/late evenings or weekends. I am originally from Iowa but have lived in Arizona for five years.

I graduated from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree. I majored in Elementary Education (K-6), and I have endorsements in Reading and Language Arts/Writing. I was a third grade teacher at a Charter school in Mesa for two years, then I decided to travel Europe for a while. Upon returning to Arizona, I decided to take a break from teaching and pursue other avenues (although caring for and teaching children is my true passion). I also have several years of daycare and tutoring experience. I can work with children of all ages (Pre-K to Age 14) and educate in various subjects. Microsoft Excel

I work using Microsoft Excel on a daily basis, creating everything from basic spreadsheets to reports containing graphs and pivot tables. I am able to create/use macros and successfully utilize IF statements and other complex formulas that can simplify any work load. Reading is a wonderful way to spark imagination. There are many children who struggle with Reading, therefore making it impossible to reach a certain level of joy. With my educational expertise in Reading and various hand-made manipulatives, I can ensure that each child that I work with is able to reach that goal, regardless of the roadblocks that may prevent him/her from being an A+ reader.

During my college experience, I was able to complete additional courses (beyond the required educational courses) that pertained to phonics and phonemic awareness.
