Hi! My name is Meegan and I want to help you succeed in school! I recently moved to Prescott from Tempe where I worked in the Kyrene School District as a Reading Specialist. As a Reading Specialist, I worked with small group of students in grades K-5 who struggled with reading. I assessed, diagnosed and planned lessons for the students that fit their individual needs. I saw a total of 52 students a day! Along with planning daily lessons, I also assessed the students on a weekly basis to ensure that they were making progress. And if not, I would change my approach until they were successful. I loved my job more than anything!! I have also taught traditional 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and a multi-age group of 1st-3rd graders. I feel like teaching is what I was meant to do!
I am a Certified Teacher in Early Childhood Education with a Masters in Reading Instruction and have a background clearance card issued from the state. Along with teaching I am also a mother of 2 wonderful children. They are the light of my life and the reason why I chose to stop working full time. Tutoring gives me the flexibility to still help those who are struggling in school, while also being a mom. Thanks for taking the time to "meet me"!
