Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus

I took Calculus II two semesters ago, attaining an A+ in the course and receiving a perfect score on my final exam. I also tutored a student in Calculus II last semester. She experienced success with my tutoring, improving her grade by a full letter (B- to an A).

Linear Algebra

I have taken this course at ASU. I attained a 99.25% overall in the course, achieving a perfect score on the final exam.

SAT Math

I attained a perfect 800 on the math portion of the SAT when I was in high school as well as an 800 on the SAT Math II test. I am familiar with the types of questions the SAT uses in their math test, the logical and mathematical skills needed to perform on the test, how to apply these skills, as well as how to take the SAT in general (e.g. when to answer questions vs. when not to).
