I've been playing the violin for 19 years. I'm classically trained, but have also had some fiddle training and have spent a summer in India studying music, too. I received my Bachelor's from the University of Miami and my Master's in Violin Performance from the University of Arizona. Recently, I've been on tour to China with the Southern Arizona Symphony and have performed in the Lake Tahoe Music Festival's orchestra.
I believe in creating a musical foundation of classical performance and technique, but am always excited to support students who are interested in branching out to other styles, too. I believe in meeting a student's interests and needs. This means that I strive for students to enjoy lessons, to know that they are improving, to be challenged by the instrument, and to be playing the music that will help them the most in light of their goals as a violinist. I teach ages 3 and up.
Outside of violin lessons, I enjoy gardening, knitting, hiking with my husband.
