My name is Zach and I am a Secondary Math Education major at Grand Canyon University. I have a passion for math, and I think it is one of the most rewarding feelings ever when I'm helping tutor someone and they finally get the "lightbulb" moment. I absolutely love teaching and I cannot wait to start my teaching career. Throughout my high school and college career, I have helped many fellow students in math classes they were struggling with. It was the highlight of my week when I got to help out people in their math classes. I find math fun, and I want to be able to make it fun for other people as well. Finding math fun, I became the captain of the math team in high school, and almost led us to go to state to compete. I am also currently president of the Math Club at Grand Canyon University.
I specialize in tutoring math. I have seen many different types of math, so if a student is looking for help in a college or high school math class, chances are I have done it before. I will not just give the student the answers to the questions they have, but I will also challenge them to understand why it makes sense. I will also provide the student with different ways to think about certain problems that they are asked.
I am tutoring to be able to get experience for when I graduate and become a teacher. Therefore, I want to be the best tutor/teacher I can be, and I will not charge a student if they are not satisfied with my tutoring. I also encourage students to provide feedback because it helps me to see if what I am doing is working. I do not have a cancellation policy; I understand, life happens, but just make sure you let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a lesson.
As I mentioned above, I am a student at Grand Canyon University. There are many different places on campus that are very quiet and are excellent environments for learning. If the student looking to be tutored could meet me on campus that would be great and I would love to help them. I might be able to travel to the student as long as they are not very far from my campus, as I do not have a car and would have to borrow someone else's.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I can't wait to hear back from you, and to help you be successful in your classes!
