The first student I ever tutored thought she hated math, but four years later she was admitted to MIT! Just because you got off on the wrong foot with a subject doesn't mean you can't learn to enjoy it - or at least get through it!
I've taught adults, students, my own home-schooled children, and my classmates because I enjoy helping people understand new ideas and skills. Unlike instructors who repeat the same explanation over and over, I know how to translate tough concepts into familiar terms so you can see them in ways that will stick with you. I'm patient, with a sense of humor and plenty of imagination.
I got a terrific high school education in the Sciences and the Classics, aced the SAT's and went on to Harvard, where I studied every subject I could from Astrophysics to Electronic Music and from Anthropology to Applied Math. I majored in Experimental Psychology (Psycholinguistics) and went on to Grad School, where I earned a Masters Degree in Religion. I love teaching, especially in informal settings, and I still take classes to expand my own horizons.
Let's have some fun getting you ready for the next stage in your learning career!
