My name is Cecilia and I am a recent graduate of UCLA. I majored in Spanish which includes not only the Spanish language but also Spanish History and Spanish/Latin American Literature. I studied abroad in Spain which helped me acquire a better understanding of the country's culture and language. I also minored in Mexican Studies which is the study of Mexican culture through history, literature, film, music, and of course, language. I recently moved to Phoenix and am taking a year off before continuing on to graduate school. I have tutored ESL and Spanish and have come to understand that not everyone learns the same way. Trying different methods of teaching and finding what works best for the learner is one of the things I enjoy the most about tutoring. I must add that I am also a mother of two elementary school aged children so I know all about patience!
