I have an educational background in Chemical Engineering as well as in Biological Engineering. I have a passion for teaching and educating those who are less knowledgeable than me. Learning is a core of human existence and I utilize every opportunity to share new information to those who may have need of such. Having said that, I have had opportunity of tutoring first year high school kids in chemistry - both general chemistry and organic chemistry. I also tutor mathematics and have tutored geometry last summer. For the brief period i taught her, her grade improved from a D to a B. I believe if i had continued with her much longer, her grades would have improved further.
At graduate school, I had the opportunity of being a teaching assistant. This provided me the opportunity to meet with students on a one-one basis regarding their home works.
In the industry, I have passionately taught operators not only how to get things done but did explain from a scientific point of view why things are done the way they are done.
The bottom line for the sciences is to utilize and apply its principles to the benefit of mankind. Sciences by itself is of no use to the common man unless its principles are applied to produce/manufacture goods that will benefit him directly or indirectly. Having industrial experience, I can easily explain the relevance of science that will inspire my students to learn and pursue career in the sciences if possible. This inspiration is what will motivate my students and consequently improve their grades in a tremendous fashion.
