My name is Andrea H. I live here in the Phoenix valley with my husband and two children. In 2005 I graduated from Arizona State University from Herberger College with a B.F.A in Fine Arts with a concentration in Studio Arts/ Painting. My other discipline studies are Drawing, Printmaking, Design, Art History, as well as Literature, History and Humanties.
Before graduating I studied abroad in in the South of France of the small village named LaCoste in the Vacluse region; where my focus studies were Studio Painting, and Drawing, Fine Art Photography focusing on the various technique development methods, and Critical Art Writing of researching the historical referential information of renowned provincial artists such as Cezanne and Van Gogh. In 2002, I had the opportunity to study in London at the American Continental University in London in which my course study was Color Photography and personal studies of the subject behind the lens,Complex Film Studies and the Context behind it,also 2-D and 3-D Design with speciality studies of architecture. In the Fall of 2002, I continued my abroad studied in Florence,Italy at the SACI Art School in Visual Art. There my implementation of studies were Italian Film Studies, Advanced Painting, Drawing III, a close up look of creating line, design, and it's properties, and a Exploration of Creative Writing.
At the age of eleven I commenced my private vocal instruction with a focus in Classical/Opera studies in which I still sing today as well as Drama and Musical Theatre. In my spare time I like to play my new musical venture of the violin and creative writing. Recently my family and I returned here from living in Paris for the past five years as Missionary/Artists. It was a profound experience doing art, emerging into the culture and building a network of everlasting relationships. Prior to that and after graduating from University, I traveled to Germany and Eastern Europe for a few months documenting the cultural landscape through photography, drawing, and painting. From these amazing travel experiences of knowledge which were life changing, my goal and objective is to take my heart's journey, and to teach my students the joy of learning regardless what level they are and despite how difficult their struggles may be with their subjects. My method is visually uniquely creative. By the end of each lesson they will no longer find their lesson as a chore but as great amazement, and to retain it for long term in years to come. As a whole I have a great joy for teaching and learning which are both amazing components for the growth of the human spirit!
