I am an experienced teacher with a degrees in English and Italian from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also have a M.Ed. from Arizona State University. I have a proven track record for student centered learning, creative lesson planning tailored to meet the needs of my students, and high levels of student achievement. My style of teaching and tutoring is focused on making sure a student understands a topic from all angles. For example, memorizing that you use an apostrophe in words like "can't" and "won't" is not enough. Students that understand WHY we use an apostrophe in those situations are the ones who will properly use apostrophes in their writing. I make sure that my lessons touch a topic from all angles and therefore foster student growth and success. I also pride myself in being able to instill a passion for learning in my students.
