English
I am well-versed in the area of English. I worked for nearly three years at Independent Newspapers, Inc., where I not only wrote as many as six stories per week, but also compiled and edited dozens of submissions to all sections of the company's publications (community news, letters, guest commentaries, schools, sports, police reports, etc.). I presently work as a consultant for the Fuller Writing Center; in this position, I review the syllabi, notes, outlines, and fully written research papers of numerous students and provide suggestions accordingly, while also presenting several workshops on grammar, self-editing, and academic research.
ESL/ESOL
I am well-versed in the area of English as a Second Language/English for Speakers of Other Languages. I have worked as a consultant for the Fuller Writing Center since November 2010, reviewing the syllabi, notes, outlines, and fully written research papers of numerous students -- roughly half of which are ESL/ESOL learners from all over the globe -- and providing suggestions accordingly. In this position, I have also presented several workshops on grammar, self-editing, and academic research.
Reading
