I returned to school at ASU in the Fall of 2009 to pursue my dream of being a CPA. I was a teaching assistant in College Algebra at ASU for 4 semesters. My current GPA at ASU is 3.84.

I have exceptional mathematical skills. I have an outstanding ability to explain things to my students. I am patient and knowledgeable. I am capable of tutoring Elementary Math, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. I was an honor student in high school excelling in both Math and Chemistry. I went on to get a 4 year degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Marketing.

I enjoy teaching others math. I am friendly and easy to understand. I will be an outstanding tutor for your student. Thank you for giving me the opportunity.

We had tried a few other tutors that were recommended by friends, with minimal results. James' ability to explain things to my son far exceeded any other tutor we have tried! My son came away smiling and excited instead of grumpy. Best tutoring money we have ever invested! Highly recommended!

I am a student and work full-time, and James was able to work with my schedule easily. I'm in college algebra and did my best to be prepared before meeting with James. This helped immensely but was not necessary at all. James makes sure he helps you go through your math the proper way from A-Z

James turned confusing concepts into easy to follow ideas. I really enjoy working with him as he is kind, patient, and professional. I highly recommend him to anyone struggling with algebra!

He was very patient and worked with me at my own pace. He explained and went over things until it clicked with me. He was easy to reach and was prompt and professional. I will definitely use him again, when I need help for my next math course. I would recommend that others use James if they need any help in Math.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am an accounting major at ASU. I have been a T.A. for 2 College Algebra classes at ASU for the past 2 semesters, and will continue to be one for the next 2 years until I graduate. I explain things thoroughly and will not move on to a new topic until I am sure you understand the topic at hand. I can provide examples and additional practice problems where necessary. I am outstanding in math and algebra. I know trigonometry and geometry pretty well. A little review in these areas will bring me right back to my high school honors roll form. I have received an A+ in Brief Calculus and an A in Math for Business Analysis (next level of Calculus) at ASU. I know my math skills will help you with whatever you are struggling with. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Jim S.

I am in my 4th semester as a teaching assistant for College Algebra at ASU. I have helped dozens of students excel in algebra and prepared them for the next level of math. This ongoing experience has continuously improved my skills as a teacher and tutor. I have the outstanding ability to teach students in a way so they not only excel on tests, but learn the material for future use. Thank you for your consideration of my qualifications.

I have been playing baseball for most of my life. The most important task to developing into a great baseball player is learning solid fundamentals. Next, is always having your head in the game and thinking about the situation at hand. By doing these 2 things, most mental and physical errors can be avoided. Play smart and have fun!

Thanks,

James

I have a natural ability with numbers and math. I also am very good at conveying this to others who struggle in this area. I have been a teaching assistant for the past 2 years at ASU for College Algebra and my reviews from students have always been outstanding. I am a patient person with excellent morals and values. I make sure that I am thorough with all my students, since math is a subject that always builds upon the topics previously covered. I am confident that I can prepare any student for future success in any math class.

Sincerely,

Jim

Organization and time management is the key to learning proper study skills. Once you have had someone experienced in these areas show how to do this, it will help a student in all future endeavors. Study skills are important for school, but equally important in all career choices and large purchasing decisions. I would like to share my experience and expertise in this area.

Thank you,

James

Perimeter = 2 times length PLUS 2 times width. OR (length + length + width + width). Let x = Length. Thus x - 2 will equal width. Now substitute x and x-2 into your perimeter equation(definition) and set it equal to 32 as problem states. 2(x) + 2(x-2)...
