Dear Parents and Students,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Lisa K. J. and I would love to help assist your student. I am currently in my junior year of Speech Therapy at NAU. It is my passion to use the skills that I have learned to help your child. We can sit down and prepare a consultation of what will be needed. Once it has been determined what will be needed we will also incorporate what your child's teacher recommends. The evaluation will then help us to focus on what kind of lesson plan we need to create. We can work at any rate of days and times that you wish also using knowledge of what the teachers think will benefit your child. I will then sit down and create a lesson plan, we can then determine just how many days and how much time will be needed to proceed. I can only then work on academic skills that we have decided on and map out our course of action. We will discuss on a regular basis the progress that is taking place.
The most frustrating thing about education is when your child is in need of assistance to get over the unnecessary boundaries that have created difficulty for your child within the school system. I am here to help navigate the best possible avenues to assist your child in the process of learning to understand and comprehend all the information that is being given on a daily basis. I will use a method that has shown great success in educational systems. I like to use the Spalding method. I have used this program in my Kindergarten class for the last 5 years and have created stable readers by the spring. The children do well with the phonics, writing and listening. With this being said the students develop reading and comprehension skills much faster than those students who are not given these tools.
I look forward to meeting your child and beginning the next phase of development, so that they may flourish in the academic world of learning with confidence.
Lisa K. J.
