Hello all,

My name is Matt K. and simply put, I am a highly motivated person with a gift; I am a natural orn teacher and leader and I have spent the last three years helping students struggling with schoolwork. I know exactly how frustrating it can be when you are struggling to understand something and it just doesn't "click". However, I've been tutoring long enough to know how to get around this, and employ methods of learning which are not often taught to us, if ever.

My tutoring style is one that insists on using a logic and values-based approach to figuring out problems. Many times, we try to memorize things to help us answer our questions or just to get through the material. This may help some students and may seem like a quick fix for some courses; however, memorization should only be used as a tool every so often, not as the main method of learning. My logical approach to tutoring will not only make it easier and faster for you you to learn, but will also allow the material stick. Integrity is my main policy because I believe that it is the foundation of everything else.

I like to think of myself as a Renaissance man. I was the president of the National Honors Society in high school and have finished college with my Bachelor's Degree in Science wit an emphasis in biology. I have been an athlete my entire life. I played NCAA Lacrosse at GCU for a year until I decided to focus my studies and attention on getting into medical school.

The overwhelming majority of people I have tutored thus far have all received A's in their courses thanks to my help. Not a bad start, I would say.

Enough about me, though; send me an e-mail and tell me about yourself so we can get started!

"Matt is a talented and gifted tutor. He has a great way of communicating errors in my work. The greatest strength for me is how he is able to help me to see the mistakes in my own work and correct them myself with a new and more advanced understanding of the coursework. He also makes great use of our time, not a minute wasted." -Michael W.
