Hi Prospective Students and Parents!

My name is Mindi and I am here to help you with all your education needs in MATH AND SCIENCE. I have been a tutor since 1998 and absolutely LOVE tutoring. The one-on-one aspect of learning creates a safe and comfortable environment for a student that they might not have in school.

I know the importance of education. I have accomplished so much so far in my life with attaining my Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, Master's degree in Education and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine but not without the help of others.

Math can be challenging but I have many ways to explain the different concepts in math. It's important to have a great foundation in PreAlgebra and Algebra 1 (my favorite). Geometry is a challenge because it is unlike any other math class - but it great for visual learners since you learn about area and volume of various shapes. I also enjoy higher level math like Algebra 2 and Pre-calculus - as those were the classes I taught in a classroom before moving to online teaching while earning my doctorate.

Science has always been my true passion - my degree is in Biology and I have lots of experience with various science courses, including, but not limited to, High school Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Earth Science *AP and Honors... as well as college science courses, too.

I am a dentist, so I can also tutor in areas that are dental hygiene and dentistry, such as the DAT placement exam to get into dental school

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is the basics for higher level Algebra and geometry. A strong foundation in Algebra 1 is the building blocks for success in higher level math. I have many years of experience with Algebra 1 and it is one of my favorite subjects to teach/tutor.

Algebra 2

When I was a classroom teacher I taught Algebra 2 - it is a great class filled with many new and challenging concepts. Tutoring Algebra 2 has been successful for me due to my background. It is fun helping students really achieve a higher level understanding of Algebra.

Biology

My bachelor's degree is in the field of biology. A majority of tutoring I do is for high school level biology. I enjoy tutoring college level biology as well!

Chemistry

I have taken many chemistry courses that were required for my bachelors and entrance into dental school. My favorite course to tutor/teach is high school level biology and Inorganic Chemistry at the college level. Chemistry is exciting!

Geometry

Geometry is in a category of its own! It is like no other math class. Geometry is excited for spatial and visual learners - as it deals a lot with shapes, area and volume!

Anatomy

In my passed I was a TA for Anatomy at ASU. It was one of my favorite college courses - it's fascinating to learn how the body works! I also have extensive training in Head and Neck anatomy which I attained in Dental School.

Elementary (K-6th)

Student taught in grade 4-6 school during my masters degree. I have experience tutoring students in grades 4 -6 as well. Most of my tutoring has been focused on elementary math and some science.

Dentistry

I am a General Dentist that treats pediatric patients. I can help with anatomy, dental anatomy and other topics related to dentistry.
