Elementary teacher available to tutor in all elementary subjects

Learning should be exciting! I enjoy coming alongside families and making learning exciting for their children. I am a published writer and a passionate teacher who believes that all children can be successful.

In my experiences as a teacher, I have taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, and reading intervention to all grade levels. I have tutoring experience in reading and writing for all elementary grade levels. I also hold a Masters degree from ASU in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language and Literacy, and I have a Reading Endorsement as a specialist in reading instruction.

Elementary (K-6th)

I majored in Elementary Education and received my BA in Education from the University of Arizona. I have taught elementary school for the past four years. During my first year, I taught reading intervention to students in need of remedial reading instruction (students who had fallen behind in reading and needed intervention to boost their skills). Phonics

I have received years of training in phonics instruction both as a part of my university requirements and as a part of the professional development training I have received as a teacher. I currently teach phonics daily as a part of the reading curriculum I use in my third grade classroom.
