After learning German in high school and majoring in German in college, I lived in Germany, where I married a German and ran a restaurant. As a result, I spoke German exclusively with native speakers on a daily basis. In fact, I continued speaking German as my primary language for the first 3 years after returning to the US.
After returning to the US, I obtained my master's degree in education. I have taught both HS German and English as a Second Language. I've tutored people in German and done freelance translation for over ten years.
