Hello. I am a Civil Engineer with EIT certification and a Licensed General Contractor in Arizona. I have tutored math at Arizona State University and Glendale Community College. Currently I am tutoring GED classes. I enjoy the challenge of helping people to master mathematics. One of my fellow GED teachers suggested that I post my profile on WyzAnt's website.

Math can be easy if you know how to approach and learn it. My strongest desire as a tutor is to help students conquer their fear of math and learn the joy of mastering it. Many of the students that I tutored in college had failed subjects like college algebra two and even three times and they were desperate to pass their required math classes in order to get their degree. So I understand how to help people who are struggling with math. Compassion is one of the most important character traits of a competent tutor.

I have a BSCE Civil Engineering degree from Arizona State University and the extensive math requirements for that degree left me just two classes short of a dedicated mathematics degree. I got straight As in calculus and differential equations while in college and so I have a strong understanding of those subjects. Further, in engineering, advanced mathematics is simply the language that you communicate with.

One of my greatest joys as a tutor is to see my students succeed. Your success is my success, if you fail, I fail. I care about your success. You can master math, no matter what level you are at, and I will help you to understand math and excel in your math classes.

Math:

ACT Math, Algebra 1,
Algebra 2,

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a BSCE in Civil Engineering from ASU and an AA in Engineering from Eastern Arizona College. I have EIT certification which is one of the most difficult technical certifications to achieve.

I have tutored math at Arizona State University and Glendale Community College. I also have extensive experience tutoring GED math classes.

I teach a can-do attitude towards math and I believe anyone can master their math courses if they will believe in themselves and work.

I have a BSCE in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University with EIT Certification.

I took differential equations at Eastern Arizona College when I first started college. After I got my AA, I had to go to work to save for additional courses. Later, Arizona State University would not accept any math credits that were five years old and so I took calculus 1-3 and differential equations again at Glendale Community College in Arizona and got straight As. So I have taken and passed the class twice.

The differential equation class I am referring to is the core class required for an engineering degree, but it is the same course that math majors take.

I have taken and passed several trigonometry related courses and I have tutored math at Arizona State University and Glendale Community College. I also have extensive experience tutoring GED math classes which contains trigonometry course material.
