Hi, my name is Patrice and I offer English lessons targeted to the specific goals of the student, whether academic, job and career, or social/cultural. My lessons enable the student to successfully interact with his or her English-speaking environment. I tailor my lessons for different learner types and teaching methods. Lesson focus centers on the student's effective learning of English-language skills. I use best practices to teach my students English, a key language in today's global market. I enjoy teaching students of all levels, whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced, and also students interested in improving their use of business English and legal English terminology.
On my background, I am a legal and teaching professional and school TESOL instructor with a 150-Hour Advanced TESOL Certificate from the Midwest Education Group. I received my JD from the University of Tulsa College of Law with Certificate in Comparative and International Law. I am a member of the Massachusetts and Washington, DC Bars. My undergraduate degree, with emphasis on Modern Languages, was obtained from Harvard University Extension. In the past my students for English language instruction included new American citizens seeking to successfully adapt to their new home and country.
