Hi there! I am a former 2nd grade Elementary Education teacher and I would love to be the encouraging and fun mentor to your child in every way! I find the one on one experience very rewarding for both teacher and student. As a result, I am very passionate about the opportunity to both hear your child and come along side them at the level they need in order to best suit their needs. It is due to the great amount of progress and extent of encouragement that children find as a result of that one on one attention that creates in me a great passion to provide your child with my undivided one on one time, focus and attention. Above all I am here to help. It is important to me to not only come alongside of your child but to challenge them, encouraging them along the way in order to help them embrace their problem solving skills from within. Above all I believe with every child and every student there is a drive for fun. My goal is to not only come alongside of your child and support them in their specified areas of study but to make it a positive learning experience that they can look forward to, appreciate and embrace.
As a teacher I worked throughout the year teaching and summers as both a soccer coach and a one on one as well as small group tutor and teacher. Throughout my teaching and summers My areas of focus were reading, writing, spelling, and phonics. I taught at a reading first school in an SEI Structured English Immersion classroom. I worked very specifically with students highly struggling in the areas as listed above! I am passionate about helping children at the elementary age and joyfully embrace the opportunity to dynamically impact your child in a positive, supportive and encouraging way and with great patience so that together we can step towards their greater educational goals!
